The SMART (Solar Massachusetts Renewable Target) program provides financial incentives to homeowners who install solar. When your system produces electricity, you can earn additional payments or bill credits through the program, helping reduce the overall cost of going solar and increasing your long-term savings.
Net metering allows your solar system to send unused electricity back to the utility grid. In return, your utility company credits your account for that energy. These credits can offset the electricity you use at night or during cloudy days, helping many homeowners significantly reduce their electric bills.
Savings vary depending on your home’s energy usage, roof size, and available incentives. Many Massachusetts homeowners are able to reduce or eliminate most of their electric bill by switching to solar while locking in lower energy costs for decades.
Homeowners may qualify for several incentives including the state rebate with the SMART program, and net metering benefits. These incentives can significantly reduce the upfront cost of solar and improve the overall return on investment.
Certain homeowners can qualify for a roof replacement through our program in addition to their solar pannel installation.
